Oh, the best part of summer is starting! Tomatoes! Yes, they're small but they are yummy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We don't have any larger tomatoes that have ripened yet but here is an excellent way to use them. DH makes this from a recipe from Penelope Casas. Homemade bread, toasted then rub a garlic clove on it. Then apply two or maybe three slices of prociutto, add sliced tomatoes then drizzle lightly with extra virgin olive oil and top with the other toast. Cut into tapas-sized servings and enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And...I was going to vent/rant about lawyers. But I won't. No reason for you to get riled up, too.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm still knitting Sonnet's last sleeve. And I had lunch at the coffee room that is part of Lakeside Fibers. No yarn purchases...it has to be a first! And, yes, I was sucked into spent several hours on Ravelry on Sunday.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Go see Vicki's new handsome nephew. Such a cutie!

I hope to get to Lakeside Fibers this weekend -- isn't that a great place for lunch or coffee or... hm... what's that other stuff they sell there? Oh, yeah... YARN!!
; )
You guys make the best food. Yum.

Yummy. That's a grown-up version of Harriet the Spy's tomato sandwiches.

Delicious looking tomatoes and great sandwich!
I got my Ravelry invite Sunday. I really liked being able to look up a yarn in my stash and see what people had knit with it.

Hi! Great looking Sonnet...I will have to look at your blog, see what yarn you're using...I'm just about to get to the sleeves on my own, so can't wait. I didn't even THINK about buttons until Kim (yes, that Kim up there in the other comment) mentioned to me that you had found yours. Egad. Something else to obsess over!!! (PS - Add some basil leaves to that 'mater sammich).
