Today started out as a dark, very windy, and chilly morning. One of those days where warm flannel sheets are far more appealing than driving to work. But, as I must, I made my way down the hall to the shower and prepared for a day at work. Because I had something to look forward to today after work!
I'm working in the Fox Valley and contacted Vicki before Thanksgiving to see if could get together sometime this week. Vicki invited me to visit with her and her Tuesday night knitting group. So I bagged up my knitting and made my way this evening to the designated coffee shop. It was really a pleasure to see her again. *And* she brought along her Williamsro, so my motivation to knit my Williamsro wouldn't wane. I found it was really enjoyable to knit (and talk and laugh) in a nice comfortable coffee shop with an interesting and very nice group of knitters. It was really great. I hope I'll be invited again when I'm in the area....maybe next summer. *g* Thank you, Vicki!
(Imagine a photo of Vicki and me at the coffee shop right here. Apparently my dial-up connection doesn't like the photo. It isn't bad...I'll just upload it later this week.)
It was 17 degree F as I drove "home" this evening under a waning moon. Brrr! Where are those flannel sheets?!!
It was a big group last night -- minus a few of the regulars but with lots of new faces! It's a fun group, too. I am so glad you came and I hope you will join us whenever you're in this area!
I finished my scarf!! (Yay, HELIO!) Now I've got to soak it and get it blocked.

Few things are better than knitting with a group of like-minded fun people.

I really am a weather wussy. *L*
I'm glad you had a good time, sweetie.

OK. So 42 in the early am isn't sounding too awful now. I love group knitting & I get that opportunity every Christmas w/ my mom & all my sisters who knit. It truly gets you motivated to work on & actually finish a project when others are cheering (or cattle prodding) you on. Fun!
