I started up a new little project this week. I had (and still have) a feeling that I wanted a project I could do quickly with little brain power. Hmm. Socks? No, I looked through the yarn and most of it required the ball winder for socks to be the project. (Yes, *that* kind of a mood.) Then I spied a ball of cotton yarn. That's it! A washcloth. But what pattern? I did a very quick search and came up with this one. Hmm, now I need needles. Do I have any size US 7s in the house besides dpns?! No. (searching through bag of knitting stuff) Okay, the circular 8 will work just fine. And presto...........
A nice little washcloth to help keep my hands busy and my mind calm. And it is green, one of my favorite colors. Isn't Joan looking for green? (She's having a contest. Go look.) I don't have much green of the outside to offer but my green washcloth and the sage green beadboard in the dining area are a reasonable contribution.
I took the little project outside for a little look-see. Nope, it hasn't melted yet.
ETA: Happy Birthday, G'Ma Susans! (aka my super DMIL)
Nice washcloth! I keep meaning to make some more for myself but haven't got 'round to it yet. I'll have to stick this pattern on my todo list as well.

I love me some good washcloth knitting. It soothes the nerves, and when you're done (quickly), you get that good feeling of accomplishment.

Chinese waves is terrific! I have that same pattern at home but haven't knit it up yet. It's nice to have some fresh green at this time of year and an easy quick zen project.

All of you in Wisconsin are sure having a long, cold, snowy winter. I hope spring arrives soon. The washcloth is a good antidote to the blah outside.
