Your internet recipe tester has been at it again! Easy Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry was tested this evening and it has been favorably reviewed. I did substitute fresh garlic and ginger for the dried ingredients in the recipe. I also added sliced water chestnuts....just because I like them. I think it is a nice recipe for a Chinese restaurant favorite because it doesn't require any ingredients that most cooks wouldn't use fairly frequently. DH had a second helping and said it was really good. I liked it, too. We had leftovers which will be very good for lunch.
I'm not sure where the time went today. I did sleep in a bit but getting out of bed at 7 AM isn't considered that slothful at Chez Purling Oaks. I went to Curves for the first time in a week and did some laundry and grocery shopping. I also had to extract a deer tick from my calf. The first one that ever took a bite of me. Wretched thing! I'm sure it was there for less than 24 hours so my risk of transmitted Lyme disease is low. That said, I have a list of warning signs I should be looking for in the next week or two. /sigh.
I'm looking forward to seeing my blog buddies knit sweaters this month* as well as enjoying reading blogs of bloggers that have decided to blog daily during November. Kudos also to those individuals that are writing a novel this month, too. I'm not doing any of those things, which is just fine, although some time I hope to join them in a future November. I've had some very odd dreams lately that seems to color my waking moments to some degree. The dreams are likely the result of work stress since I'm working in a situation that I have little control over that is influenced by the economy, politics, and so on, and so on. (At least that is one friend's interpretation.) Anyway, I'm not so silly to add another task to my schedule and I will just enjoy seeing and reading the fruits of others' labor.
*anyone else I've missed?
