We were able to make the trip up to the Fox Valley today and visit quickly with Mom. I got her set-up on Skype*, picked up a few things and we turned the car around to head home. Our deer popsicle thawed enough for DH to take care of the cutting and wrapping this afternoon while I packed and prepped for my trip tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to getting up at 3 AM tomorrow to allow time for unpredictable weather conditions on my drive to the airport. We had a little snow this evening but no more is expected until Tuesday's predicted big storm. I am as packed as I can be at this point and now I just need to sleep fast. :D Have a great Monday!
*The audio works fine but I think the video is overloading her older XP machine since her side of the video freezes. Or it could be that the camera wants a USB 2.0 port and there just isn't one available. /sigh. Anyway, I think it will be fun for her and the rest of the family to have video chats.
Have a safe trip - I'm so sorry about the 3:00 a.m. wakeup call.

Have a safe trip and I hope you get to see some of the sights. Oh... and don't forget... if the backstabber bothers you? Accidentally and repeatedly. It works every time.

Deer popsicle just sounds SO wrong. I hope you got some sleep, and have safe travels.

Have a good time! If you can. Ditch work and go to the LYS. In these tough times, it's important to support your local econmy. Wherever you are. :)
I keep my calendar in my head. This worked better years ago.
